Inspection and Repair

Inspection of fire and life safety equipment in both residential, commercial, industrial, and offshore facilities, may be a simple task if all a company does is to cater to one or two of those market segments. To cater to all of those markets requires knowledge of a number of different regulations.

Knowledge and experience of domestic and foreign equipment in the case of offshore installations is just half the battle. Once you figure out what component is faulty you need to know where to get it.

With more than 25 technicians performing service and repair of fire protection, gas detection, and lift safety systems in the commercial, industrial and offshore market, we have the resources needed to address your needs. We’ve developed a policy with our managers and our answering service to insure that when a phone call is made to our company, the customer receives a response in less than 15 minutes.

Repairs on equipment requires years of experience, knowledge of both domestic and foreign equipment, a vast technical library, a network of relationships with companies for those hard to get parts, a willingness and desire to train our technicians to be, as the army would say, “The Best They Can Be”.

Water based systems such as wet pipe, Pre-Action, deluge, water spray, and Water spray systems, including fire pumps, are among the systems we repair. We are licensed to design and repair these systems and do so on a regular basis.

Electronic based systems, like water based systems, are no stranger to Advantage however, unlike water based systems electronic systems can often prove difficult to repair. This is due in part to the complexity with which these systems have developed and the restricted access to parts and manuals. What puts these systems on an even playing field are the vast years of experience our employees have with working on these systems and the relationships we have with other companies who provide us access to both products and manuals.

Service and repair of these systems is not a sideline. It’s something that we do 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. We provide this service in the US and on all continents.

Emergency Service “...been there…done that…”

And when it comes to emergency service, a response with 15 minutes is often not enough, so we take it to the Nth degree by setting into motion those forces needed to resolve the situation. It doesn’t matter if you need your fire suppression system recharged at midnight on Saturday, your leaking fire water sprinkler systems repaired on Sunday, or your gas detection system repaired on New Years in the Caspian Sea, we can do it.

Experience “...Knowledge is King…”

When it comes to service, knowledge is king. When last we counted there were over 20 manufactures of fire alarm systems and among those manufacturers there hundreds of models of systems. Among suppression systems the numbers are less daunting at 6 major manufacturers and dozens of models.

We’ve anticipated these issues and while it’s not possible for a technician to drive around with the Congressional Library, they do maintain manuals of the more current models in their vehicles. At the office we maintain 71% of those manufacturers’ manuals in our technical library. Of that 71% of manuals we maintain, 23% are maintained electronically enabling us to send technical information electronically to our technicians when the need arises.

Cost of Ownership “...been there…done that…”

The cost of ownership isn’t simply the initial cost of the equipment. The cost of ownership includes not only the equipment but the reliability, repair, recharge, maintenance, and lastly the quality of the service. For an owner, a lack in quality of service can increase the cost of ownership exponentially.

With out the services of a company capable of maintaining the equipment the owner faces the unnecessary task of replacing the defective equipment. This can amount to more than a simple smoke detector or alarm horn but also an entire control panel. Our employees have resources to obtain the hard-to-get parts, allowing the owner of the system to make an informed decision as to the repair path.

With our resources we have the ability to maintain all brands of fire alarm equipment including:

• Ansul
